I would have bought the Dylan Kelly thing if the writers (probably been said before) didn't just throw it at us the third season. There was no real I guess sexual tension between Dylan and Kelly prior to season 3, which would have been interesting I think. You're right though, Dylan got sick of all the drama and her father and they way Brenda handled her father.

I totally agree! Kelly was like a breath of fresh air to Dylan. Brenda and Dylan got so serious so fast and they were so young. Eventually it was just too much for someone like Dylan to deal with so he turned to Kelly...someone who was fresh and new...had brenda/shannen not left the show we all know dylan and bren would have gotten back together! As much as I don't mind dylan/kelly they were NEVER soulmates and that was a huge mistake made by the writers!

TELL me about it! The fact that Dylan always turned to Brenda in tough times shows who he really was meant to be with. Kelly was a breath of fresh air, but that doesn't make them soul mates. Add in an issue or conflict, and they fell apart.

I agree Kelly didn't really know how to handle Dylan, which is probably why he always returned to Brenda in a time of crisis. Kelly still though could have put the brakes on before she walked into that cabana. I watched Sex Lies and Volleyball the other day and there's a dark shadow over Dylan and he has this look of 'what did I get myself into' on his face. Dylan only chose Kelly because he was tired of dealing with all the emotional baggage that came along with Brenda and he was tired of Jim Walsh too. Kelly was the easy route, I don't mean very *friendly* personty, I mean less drama (so he thought for a while) The odd thing though is that Kelly becomes kind of the nag to Dylan and Brenda becomes the breath of fresh air in season 4.

The thing is as well, that Dylan couldn't handle Kelly either. Not like Brandon could. So really, they were all fun and hook ups, but when the going got tough, Dylan got going.
