Dylan and Brenda were meant to be, as were Brandon and Kelly.

Yes, I agree, but some people do like Kelly and Dylan, and I respect that

Hehe, yeah. If it weren't for Andrea and Steve, Kel and Brando would have hooked up in season one! The chemistry was totally there!

Kelly and Dylan just didn't mesh. When she was with him she was so insecure because of Brenda for one thing. Every time Brenda had a problem Dylan ran to her side. Actually every time Brenda was around and Kelly was around Dylan gravitated toward Brenda in some way. Kelly and Dylan didn't really have anything in common either, physical attraction yes but that's about it. In season 4 this is shown a lot, because Dylan's the natural loner and Kelly wants to go to the parties, sorority meetings, have fun. I actually rooted for Dylan and Kelly in seasons 9 and 10 because they had some history, that was actually shown as opposed to the season 3 "soulmates/kindergarten thing". Ultimately I wanted Brenda to come back for the final episode and end up with Dylan. I also think that the natural chemistry between the actors was lacking too. Luke and Jennie (for me at least) didn't have the chemistry (I think Jennie and Jason did though) If Shannen hadn't left the show I don't think the Dylan/Kelly thing would have been really. If it was, it would be just an obstacle for Brenda and Dylan to get back together in season 5.

Ultimately I agree that in the end it's Brenda/Dylan and Kelly/Brandon although I don't totally despise the Dylan/Kelly storyline....there were some good moments between those 2. However I have always said that had Brenda and Brandon come back at the end of the series I'm sure the writers would have ended things differently (brenda/dylan and kelly/brandon)
